2024 MISS BELIZE RURAL DELEGATE #4

Delegate #4 for this year’s 2024 Miss Belize Rural - QOTB is Jahzara Broaster, a confident and dedicated young lady who is proudly representing the historic community of Freshpond, Burrell Boom. At just 18 years, Jahzara radiates beauty, confidence and a delightful quirkiness that sets her apart. As Ms. Broaster prepares to finish her Associates Degree in Information Technology, she stands poised at her impressive array of achievements starting with her initiative to form a robotics club, which has allowed her to bring together like-minded colleagues to engage in hands-on programs focused on learning about robotics and fostering team building skills. Ms. Broaster’s academic journey may be marked by determination and relentless pursuit of knowledge, but she also brings about a versatility in her skills as not only a certified lifeguard and swimming coach at the YWCA, but also extending into the realm of aesthetics, as she holds a certification in acrylic nail application.

Jahzara’s heart’s most important initiative, however, is community involvement on matters pertaining to children’s rights and their development. She holds an important role as a substitute teacher at the St. Mary’s Primary School, where she actively interacts with children and hopes to mold young minds and sow the seeds of knowledge with care and compassion. Jahzara is an active member of the Children’s Advisory Body (CAB), an initiative under the sustainable child friendly municipality to bring about proper representation of children related community issues.

MISS BELIZE RURAL DELEGATE #4

As Ms. Broaster embarks on this journey as a delegate of Miss Belize Rural 2024, she hopes to educate the public on children’s rights, so that children are not forced to remain silent, as she strongly believes that “children shouldn’t have to underestimate the strength of their own voices, they should be able to speak up, respectfully and confidently. When they learn how to do that, they’ll realize how their voices, however small it may seem, can create a meaningful change.” - Jahzara Broaster.
